Capsules of venues for Asian Games

= Hamad Aquatic Centre=
The three story Hamad Aquatic Centre, host to the swimming, diving and synchronized swimming events, has undergone a significant facelift ahead of the Asian Games.
It features two Olympic-sized swimming pools and two diving pools The main pool area seats more than 2,000 spectators.
The swimming events begin December 2, with diving from December 10.
= Sport City Temporary Site=
The open temporary venue at Sport City will host the beach volleyball, as well as the cross country portion of the equestrian three-day event.
The open-access temporary venue can accommodate several thousand equestrian fans when the cross country event is held December 7.
Seven courts have been built for the December 2-11 beach volleyball competition, including a center court with seating for 1,500 spectators.
= Al-Arabi Sports Club=
The long-established Al-Arabi Sports Club in southern Doha will be home to soccer, rugby sevens, fencing and table tennis.
The main stadium, one of five venues for the Games' soccer competition, has been upgraded to expand its capacity to 13,000-seats.
The rugby sevens tournament will be held from December 10-11 and is expected to one of the better attended events thanks to Doha's sizable expatriate population.
= Al-Gharrafa Sports Club=
Is one of the busiest venues at the 15th Asian Games, despite hosting only soccer and handball.
The 25,000-seat main stadium, 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) northwest of Doha, will be used continuously from the start of soccer competition on November 26 through to the December 15 handball final.
A 3,000-seat indoor hall has been built specially for handball.
= Al-Khor Road Course=
The ancient fishing town of Al-Khor, 57 kilometers (92 miles) north of Doha, will host the individual and team cycling time trials.
The 11-kilometer (6.8-mile) road course will take riders south of the town
along the east coast of Qatar.
