Maniche, Deco sidelined from Portugal squad due to injury

LISBON -- Portugal midfielder Maniche and playmaker Deco have been sidelined from the Portugal squad for the upcoming World Cup Group One qualifiers against Sweden and Albania, the Portugal Football Federation said on its website on Tuesday.

The announcement said that Maniche and Deco had not recovered from injuries sustained at their clubs Atletico Madrid and Chelsea.
