10. Jaisalmer
Located 575 kilometers west from the state capital Jaipur, Jaisalmer is a town in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The town is surrounded by a fort, which contains the palace and several ornate Jain temples. It is known as "The Golden City" because of the abundance of yellow sandstone, which looks like gold in the sunshine.
Jaisalmer, which is famous for its medieval mud fortress and walled township, is also home to many famous musicians, dancers and fine crafts such as delicate wood carvings.
A few quiet days spent wandering around the town and the surrounding desert can certainly pull two persons' hearts together. One Thousand and One Nights described Jaisalmer as a palace in the sky. Taking your lover to this wonderland where she will feel like the heroine of the novel.
