Beijing's hotels are wooing brides-to-be with a series of wedding expos, proposing they take the plunge and say: "I do love that dress."

China World Hotel's Aug 17 bride's fair started with a performance in which a little girl dreams of being the most beautiful bride, and her mother promises to tailor resplendent gowns for the big day. When the girl grows up and meets Mr Right, her mom unveils the dresses she has created - on runway models.

The elegant gowns, traditional wedding setting and imperial-style stage portray traditional Chinese wedding culture, the hotel's general manager John Rice says.

Rice says the hotel has gathered a team of experienced wedding planners well versed in creating the most memorable days in girls' lives. They are masters at selecting menus, flowers, limousines, reception venues and honeymoon arrangements.

"We have designed a range of tailored wedding packages that will provide you with everything you would need for a perfect wedding celebration," he says.

"As we cherish the importance of your wedding celebration, we hope that, years ahead in the future, you will look back on this day with fond memories and lasting joy."

Teaming up with Beijing Mocha Wedding and Plumage Bridal, The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street held a wedding fair to showcase its expertise in creating and bringing to life wedding and celebration plans on Aug 11.

The Your Dream, Our Pleasure event is honed for young couples looking for unique and creative wedding experiences, the hotel's public relations director Ning Jianwei says.

It promises not only an enchanted wedding in an elegantly tailored atmosphere but also features trailblazing new services.

Among them is a wedding app created for the hotel by Sealyyg App Co. It features a smooth browser and a brand new cover page to allow users the seamless experience of sending e-invitations and wedding planning.

Apart from innovative thematically designed lighting, state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, and floral and theme venue decoration, the hotel also presents live experience sessions, including spa treatments, wedding gown-fitting services, catwalk shows of bridal gowns from Plumage Bridal, and DIY corsage training.
