While playing music as part of antenatal training for the unborn child may not be considered odd, but some may find playing music to boost rice production weird. But that's exactly what's happening in Fujian province in southeast China, according to Southeast Morning Post on Sunday.

More than 500 music systems operating on solar cells have been installed in a 270,000 square meters rice field and they play soft music 24/7. According to the staff, rice fields that ‘hear' music have seen production increase by 15 percent compared to those that don't.

Thief falls asleep with stolen goods

Thief broke into a house but fell asleep in the bathroom with stolen goods due to fatigue, reported chinataiwan.org on Sunday.

The owner reported the burglary to police when he came back and saw the mess in the house. Police discovered the thief by his snoring noise.
