Xi and Macron hold talks in Beijing

President Xi Jinping met with visiting French counterpart Emmanuel Macron at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing on Monday.
Macron is paying a state visit to China from Monday to Wednesday. It is his first China visit since assuming office in May last year.
Macron arrived at Beijing International Airport on Monday afternoon after wrapping up his trip to northwestern China’s Xi’an, where he visited the well-known Qin Shihuang Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum.
Macron will also tour the Palace Museum in Beijing.
