MTV Video Music Award is an award presented by the cable channel MTV to honor the best in the music video medium.
Since the 2006 ceremony, viewers are able to vote for their favorite videos in all general categories by visiting MTV's website.
In the 2018 ceremony, Cardi B opened the 2018 ceremony, which was held at the Radio City Music Hall. She and Childish Gambino were the biggest winners of the night, both with three categories. Camila Cabello won Video of the Year and Jennifer Lopez received the Vanguard Award.
