Global south calls developed countries to fulfill environmental commitment at COP28

On Dec 9, at the COP28 United Nations climate change conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, hundreds of people, many from countries in the Global South, marched to demand climate justice. They called on developed countries to fulfill their commitments to providing climate finance to developing countries. Rich nations were also urged to increase their commitments to the newly established loss and damage fund, a longstanding demand from vulnerable countries to assist them in dealing with the losses and damages caused by climate change.
