Shanghai Disney Resort breaks ground on Spider-Man-themed land

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new themed land was attended by executives from Shanghai Disney Resort, Walt Disney Imagineering Shanghai, Shanghai Shendi Group, and the Administrative Commission of Shanghai International Resort.
The resort also unveiled plans for an extensive Pixar-themed celebration in June. The event will introduce three new Pixar characters to the park: Carl Fredricksen from Up, Bing Bong from Inside Out, and Edna Mode from The Incredibles. The characters will debut in a unique show on the E-Stage on June 3.
