PLA National Defense University delegation to attend Shangri-La Dialogue
A delegation from China's People's Liberation Army National Defense University will participate in the 22nd Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore upon invitation, a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of National Defense announced on Thursday.
Zhang Xiaogang, the ministry's spokesperson, said the visit will run from Thursday to Monday, during which the delegation will also engage in exchanges with both military and civilian institutions in Singapore.
"China actively participates in constructive dialogue platforms to share our vision and initiatives to foster mutual trust and deepen cooperation with all parties," Zhang said.
He noted that the delegation will hold in-depth discussions with various parties during the dialogue to build a broader consensus.
When asked about potential interactions between the Chinese and US delegations, Zhang stated that relevant information will be released in due course.
He emphasized that China valued its defense relationship with the US and remains open to communication at all levels.
"We hope the US will genuinely respect our core interests and major concerns and work with us to promote stable and healthy military-to-military relations," Zhang said.
