6 dead, 3 injured in road accident in Northwest China's Gansu

LANZHOU -- Six people were killed and three others injured in a traffic accident that occurred on Thursday in Northwest China's Gansu province.
The accident happened at around 11:10 am when a car ran into the opposite lane and collided with an off-road vehicle on a section of an expressway in Gansu's Linxia Hui autonomous prefecture, according to the prefecture's public security bureau.
Six people, including drivers of the two vehicles and passengers, were killed, and three others were injured.
Investigation and medical treatments for the injured are underway.
