American rapper and actor Chris Brown and Barbadian singer Rihanna began dating in 2008. Their first romantic relationship ended when Rihanna reported Brown's domestic violence to authorities in 2009. In 2011, Brown began dating aspiring model Karrueche Tran, but there was consistent media speculation that Brown was rekindling his relationship with Rihanna. In January 2013, Rihanna confirmed that she and Brown have began dating again. But, in May 2013, Brown stated that he and Rihanna had broken up again.
