This fishing boat captain, surnamed Wang, is 56 and has been working in the fishing industry in Qionghai, Hainan province, for 34 years. He goes fishing whenever he is required to do so – and will be working over the May Day break. He usually goes out to sea for more than 40 days, and has to prepare in advance to make sure that he has sufficient food supplies and also to work on the maintenance of his boat.
