Regulations concerning the passenger’s claim for bodily damages during a taxi accident

The relationship between passengers and taxi companies is that of receiving and providing services in transportation. In accordance with the relevant regulations of Law of the PRC on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Consumers, taxi companies, as the providers of services, shall guarantee that their consumers who receive transportation services should be free from any damage to their personal and property safety; consumers also have the right to demand that transportation services provided by taxi companies should be in accordance with the requirements of personal and property safety. In case passengers are bodily injured on account of a taxi they take being involved in a car accident, passengers have every right to demand due compensation from the taxi company.
