China's first ecological civilization evaluation index named after a place, the Guiyang Index, was released on Tuesday.
The index provides a way for the public to know ecological civilization on a deeper level. It has become a weather vane of the nation's ecological civilization construction, according to Lian Yuming, dean of the Guiyang Innovation-Driven Research Institute of Guizhou University, at a press conference on Tuesday.
The China Ecological Civilization Development Report and Report of Guiyang Building Ecological Civilization Demonstration City in China, which were compiled by the research institute, were also published on the same day.
