Wuxi Coastal City, located in the Binhu district, is to become the first intelligent shopping mall in the city, Wuxi Daily reported on Sept 18.

The intelligent system is based on the 4G network provided by China Mobile which is jointly developed with Huawei and iSoftStone. Customers will have unrestricted free access to a stable and high-speed mobile network inside the mall.

Customers will be able to gain access to exclusive shopping deals and discounts using their phones as well as being able to pay for their parking using their mobiles too.

On the other side, store owners will be able to receive real-time data on customer movements in the mall in order to formulate better ways of attracting more shoppers, as well as pinpointing the best areas to place advertising.

In future, the mall hopes to integrate virtual and augmented reality capabilities to further push customer experiences into new territory.
