The plant?is currently processing the largest volume of underground sewage in the whole nation. The plant has an investment of 747 million yuan and an area of 59 square kilometers. The plant processes a scale of 150,000 tons per day and produces 45,000 tons of water per day. Using the Origin Water membrane bioreactor (MBR), an advanced wastewater treatment measure, the plant only takes up 34 percent of the traditional method's land usage, but water quality is even better than national top level urban sewage emission standards. The plant will spare more sewage capacity to protect Dianchi Lake.
