The Kunming Hi-Tech Zone called 11 leading nonferrous metal manufacturing enterprises within the Zone together on Jan 12 to discuss the industry's economic situation and growing trends in the first quarter of 2015.

The attending enterprises outlined their development plans and exchanged views on market trends from January to March, reaching agreement that the new year will see a significant development of the copper industry. According to the manufacturers' production plans, the output and output value of copper will both increase compared to 2014.

The enterprises also raised some problems they had met during their operation, to which the officials of the administrative committee of the Zone carefully answered. The Zone also promised to take those problems that cannot be solved on the spot back to relevant departments to deal with, with the least delay.
